Bulky Freight Delivery Options and Quoting

This article outlines the available freight delivery options, what information is required for advanced delivery quotes, expected quote timeframes, and how to report delivery issues.

Delivery options

Standard Delivery

  • Ground floor only
  • Customer must be able to unload the truck
  • Suitable for warehouse deliveries where a forklift is available

Tailgate Delivery

  • Ground floor only
  • No forklift or onsite assistance provided
  • Courier will unload to a loading dock or parking area only
  • Courier is not responsible for moving goods to the final internal location
  • Not available for printers wider than 60 inches

Advanced Delivery

Advanced delivery is quoted based on site-specific requirements.

To request a quote, provide:

  • Product dimensions
  • Product photos
  • Whether lifts are required
  • Whether stairs are involved, including the number of stairs and landings
  • Details of narrow corridors or other access constraints
  • Any optional services required, such as:
    • Unboxing
    • Placement onto a stand
    • Packaging removal

If stairs are involved, a site inspection is required and additional charges will apply. The courier may also request more information before issuing a quote.

Freight quote timing

  • Freight quotes usually take 24–48 hours
  • If a site inspection is required, allow additional time
  • Incorrect or incomplete access information may result in extra freight charges

Safety and weight handling

Courier drivers are not required to assist with lifting goods over 30 kg if they believe doing so may put themselves or the receiver at risk.

Shipping notifications

A shipping notification will be sent to the nominated email address once the order has been dispatched.

Delivery disputes and damages

Any delivery dispute or damage must be reported within 7 business days.

How to request freight or a quote

  1. Choose the delivery service: Standard, Tailgate, or Advanced.
  2. For Standard or Tailgate delivery, confirm:
    • Ground-floor access
    • Unloading capability
    • Whether forklift access is available
  3. For Advanced delivery, submit all required site and access details.
  4. Allow 24–48 hours for the quote, plus extra time if a site inspection is needed.
  5. Review the quote and any special conditions before finalising the order.

  • Check all access details carefully before requesting a quote
  • Include accurate information about stairs, lifts, corridor widths, and unloading conditions
  • Expect additional time and cost if a site inspection is required
